- Over 700 people cheered and clapped for “Psalmsensation: A Multiethnic Concert Experience” last month at Sanders Theatre—an electrifying event that Zamirniks, guest artists, and audience alike agreed was one of the Chorale’s all-time best. Infused with imaginative staging and unusual vocal-instrumental groupings, the spirited program showcased a variety of psalm settings from ancient to contemporary, romantic to rhythmic, including the East Coast premiere of Andrew Bleckner’s “Halleluyah” (Psalm 150) and the world premiere of Emmett Price’s “Joyful Noise of Praise.”
- Zamir Chorale e-notes, 2007
- Psalm 150 is perfect for massed choral events, High School and College choirs. Written in an African call-and-response style with driving percussion and thrilling vocal climaxes.

- The music (in Shema: A Holocaust Cantata) is by turns harsh and lyrical…Both Bleckner and Mann (lyricist) were present at the performance and were called forward by Megill amid rapturous applause at the finish.
- Donald P. Delany, The Times, January 15, 1995, writing of the world premiere of Shema: A Holocaust Cantata
- "10th and Luke", a wonderful addition to the repertoire of religiously-themed stage productions appropriate for youth to perform...The result is a moving piece of musical theatre that is at once timeless, and timely.
